First Finance Delivers Humanitarian Assistance to Frontline Soldiers

    Posted on: Jan 11, 2026

Phnom Penh, 12 January 2026— In the spirit of national solidarity and corporate social responsibility, First Finance Microfinance Institution Plc. has provided humanitarian assistance to frontline soldiers deployed across three strategic locations, comprising 62 million Cambodian riels in cash, two motorbikes, and 600 sets of cold-weather clothing.
The assistance was delivered at a timely moment, as frontline troops continue to carry out their duties in defending national security while operating in areas experiencing colder weather conditions that may adversely affect their health. The initiative underscores the strong bond between civilians on the home front and soldiers serving on the front lines, and reflects deep appreciation for the physical and mental sacrifices made by Cambodia’s heroic forces in safeguarding the nation’s territorial integrity.

The cash contribution will help support soldiers’ essential daily needs, while the two motorbikes will facilitate personal mobility and improve the transportation of supplies within military units. The cold- and wet-weather clothing has been prepared to help protect soldiers’ health and reduce the risk of seasonal illness.

Mr. Sim Senacheert, CEO of First Finance, said the contribution is modest when compared with the significant sacrifices made by Cambodia’s armed forces over the years in ensuring national security and stability. Nevertheless, he expressed hope that the assistance would complement the efforts of the Royal Government in easing some of the challenges faced by frontline soldiers.
“Having endured two wars, we have come to understand the true value of peace. Beyond that, these experiences have further strengthened national unity,” Mr. Sim Senacheert said. “On this occasion, we sincerely pray to all sacred spirits to protect our soldiers, keep them safe, and grant them success in fulfilling all of their duties.”

Representatives of the armed forces expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the timely support, noting that they were deeply moved by the strong participation and solidarity shown by citizens on the home front. Such support, they said, plays a vital role in strengthening morale, determination, and resilience among Cambodia’s frontline soldiers.
First Finance Microfinance Institution Plc. reaffirmed its continued commitment to contributing to social and national development by promoting community well-being and supporting the armed forces, working alongside the Royal Government to help build a strong, stable, and resilient Cambodia.
